Public Notice: Energy Centre Wellness Centre temporarily closed for cleaning

Cold Lake, AB – The City of Cold Lake is closing the Energy Centre Wellness Centre for the remainder of the day to deep clean after being informed that a patron has tested positive for COVID-19.

It is unknown whether the patron was positive for COVID-19 during the patron’s last attendance at the Energy Centre Wellness Centre. Sometime after the patron’s last visit, the patron developed symptoms, self-isolated, and was tested for COVID-19.

Upon receiving a positive test result, the patron contacted the Energy Centre Wellness Centre to inform them of the development. The City of Cold Lake thanks the patron for following the COVID-19 protocols, and for promptly bringing the situation to our attention.

The patron’s last visit to the Energy Centre Wellness Centre was at 4:00 pm on December 2.

The Energy Centre Wellness Centre will be shut down for the remainder of the day, and will be cleaned in accordance with the health directives in place. The Energy Centre Wellness Centre is expected to be open for the morning of December 8th, and will continue with operations modified as per the existing COVID-19 restrictions, including enhanced cleaning measures, which have been in place throughout the pandemic.
