Cold Lake Marina

The Cold Lake Marina is the launching point onto what locals brag is the "best lake in Alberta".

The Cold Lake Marina is open for operation annually from mid-May to the end of September.

Phone: 780-639-2396 (during seasonal hours of operation)

Hours of Operation

8:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m. daily during the month of May
8:00 a.m. - 10:00 p.m. daily from June through August
8:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m. daily for the month of September

There is on site security daily from 8:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m.

Slips at the Cold Lake Marina are available on a first-come, first -served basis. Because the demand is greater than the availability, a waiting list is maintained. To acquire a slip, it will be necessary to go on a waiting list as detailed below. The City of Cold Lake will process the waiting list by date of application, and slips are assigned in that order, with consideration given to overall length, beam and operating characteristics of the vessel.

If you would like to get on the permanent slip rental waiting list, fill out a Marina Berth Waiting List Application. Applications can be mailed to or dropped off at City Hall.  Payment can be made out to the City of Cold Lake.

The application to sublease a space can be found here.

Non-motorized watercraft storage lockers

Secure storage lockers for non-motorized watercraft such as kayaks, canoes, paddle boards and life jackets/wetsuits are available at the Cold Lake Marina. Lockers are rented for the summer season (May-October) for $75 each and renters must provide their own locks. 20 storage units are available and applications are due April 15 (2021 applications will be accepted until May 10). If more than 20 applications are received, lockers will be assigned by lottery drawing. Download and fill out the Non-motorized watercraft storage application form here
