Cold Lake Hall of Fame

Cold Lake Hall of Fame

In 2017 the City of Cold Lake began honoring the legacies of outstanding local men, women and teams/organizations within the arts, culture and sports domains by inducting them into the Cold Lake Hall of Fame.  Through an annual nomination process, up to two inductees within each of the categories of Athlete, Artist, Community Leader, Builder and Team/Organization will be awarded the distinction of being embedded into the Hall where their feats can be recognized by current and future generations.

Important Dates in 2019
May 1st – Nomination Deadline
Nomination forms can be picked up at the reception desk at the Energy Centre or found online here.  Forms are submitted to the Recreation and Culture Committee (RCAC) for review.  Nominees may not be inducted in the same year they are nominated and nomination forms are valid for a period of three years.

June 30th – Inductee Selection
No more than two inductees from each category are selected by the RCAC and submitted to Council for approval.  The RCAC will consider the qualification criteria carefully and select recommended inductees by vote.

Cold Lake City Council shall consider the RCAC’s recommendations in consideration of the Hall of Fame Policy and approve all appropriate inductees.

Inductees will be recognized in an annual induction ceremony and banquet held at Reid Field House in the Energy Centre.

Aside from the annual fall ceremony, inductees will be enshrined by having a plaque with photo and bio placed at the Energy Centre as well as on the City website.  Local media will be informed of the annual inductees through a press release.
